vistas never before seen. One would think after more than a decade of cros
sing this country's highways\, the last thing O.A.R. co-founder and lyricis
t Marc Roberge would want is more time on the blacktop. \n \nBut as he pr
epared to record the band's sixth studio CD\, ""All Sides\,"" Roberge\, his
wife\, and their dogs drove cross country. \n \n""I decided it would be
interesting to make the drive from New York to L.A. to start my journey int
o this album\,"" Roberge says. ""I knew once I got there\, time would be sp
ent focused completely on music\, so I wanted to gather some experience fir
st. It was a completely different view of America than from a tour bus. You
see so much more when you are in the driver's seat."" \n \nOf course\, s
ome would say Roberge and his O.A.R. band mates have been in the driver's s
eat since he\, guitarist Richard On and drummer Chris Culos formed their fi
rst group in 8th grade in Maryland in the early '90s\, bonding over their l
ove of Pearl Jam. \n \nNowhere is that union between artist and audience
better reflected than on ""All Sides""' energetic ode: ""This Town."" \n
\nAnd what a crowd O.A.R. attracts. Hailed as one of the best live bands on
the planet\, O.A.R. has built a rabid following and a well deserved reputa
tion as a must-see band when they come to town. \n \nThe process of creat
ing ""This Town"" and the other 12 songs on ""All Sides"" began in early 20
07 when the band gathered to record demos and start the search for a produc
er. Following a summer tour\, they came together again in Los Angeles last
October. \n \nAnd now\, as O.A.R. prepares for the release of ""All Sides
\,"" Roberge finds himself hitting the road again\, this time with his othe
r family: his band mates. \n \n""Right now\, on this day\, 'All Sides' re
presents where we are as a band and how far we have come\,"" Roberge says.
""It makes me love playing music for a living\, writing songs\, and driving
across the country with my best friends.""

DESCRIPTION:The spirit of aloha is alive and well and currently residing in
sunny Southern California . Meet Pepper\; Bret Bollinger\, Kaleo Wassman\,
and Yesod Williams\, three young innovative minds mixed with divine inspir
ation from the Hawaiian Islands. Pepper has been perched on the cusp of suc
cess since their relocation to Southern California in 1999\, inspired by Vo
lcom Entertainments (a subsidiary music company of the surf/skate/snow life
style and credibility leader www.volcoment.com ) excitement and interest in
producing and distributing the bands endless eruption of original music. \
n\n\n\n""Given It"" recorded at Kailua-Kona studio Jags (actually a coffee
shack)\, is the bands first official release combining dancehall\, reggae\,
punk\, hip-hop\, and pop\, sparked some initial interest in Warped Tour pr
omoter Kevin Lyman. With Kevin's interest and Volcom's involvement Pepper g
raced the premiere side stage at Warped Tour 2001. \n\n\n\nAs the early mor
ning heat rises on the grounds of the annual punk rock ""summer camp""\, Vo
lcom's side stage is being built\, however\, not by someone from the higher
budget stages and lighting companies hired by the ""econo-core""\, tour\,
but by the very hands that will later be handling skins and axe duties for
this particular side stage's freshest new talent...the sunny sounds of Hawa

DESCRIPTION:Tart\, Tangy\, Smooth\, and oh so lip-smacking Sweet! Aaah yes\
, time to praise the almighty summer sippin' thirst quencher\, being served
straight up G. Love and Special Sauce style\, ice cool and always refreshi
ng. On their second release for Brushfire Records\, the Philly boys offer u
p ""Lemonade""\, a series of soul drenched tracks pouring out their blues i
nfused hip-hop\, which people have been trying to label for years. The best
advice - dont try to tame it or claim it\; its simply their sonic trademar
k\, instantly recognizable and addictively delicious.\n\n\n\nIt's there all
  right\, and seven albums\, thirteen years\, and over a million worldwide u
nits later\, ""Lemonade"" is the most cohesive and rewarding album Garrett
 Dutton - a.k.a. G. Love (guitar\, vocals\, harmonica\, sweat and tears) has
ever delivered. Produced and engineered in the womb of Philadelphonic Stud
ios by Chris DiBeneditto (Electric Mile & Philadelphonic) and faithfully an
chored by the Sauce\, Jimi ""Jazz"" Prescott (acoustic bass)\, and Jeffrey
""Thunderhouse"" Clemens (drums\, percussion)\, G. pairs up with some of th
e best players in the game including Ben Harper\, Donovan Frankenreiter\, J
 asper\, Dave Hidalgo (Los Lobos)\, Blackalicious\, Marc Broussard\, Tristan
Prettyman and Jack Johnson on a fourteen song celebration of his iconic ca
reer.\n\n\n\nThe tradition of the hip-hop blues has always been to rip open
the heart and bare the soul. Tell the listener what they want to hear and
you'll have a fair weather friend\; tell them the way it is and you'll have
true love. Thankfully\, the Love is Alive\, for G. delivers his loping lil
t with bone humming honesty and he's never sounded so clear. From the swarm
ing infectious grooves of ""Ride""\, ""Ain't That Right""\, and ""Holla!""
to the laid down easy of ""Breakin Up""\, ""Still Hanging Around""\, and ""
Missing My Baby"" G. and The Sauce dance with the muses of their mentors\,
John Hammond\, Bob Dylan\, Jimmy Reed\, De La Soul without ever missing the
beat of their own signature time.\n\n\n\nEven though G. is an insatiable m
usical omnivore when it comes to feeding off influences\, ""Lemonade"" is h
is most stylistically cohesive and focused album yet. Grown out of the some
what dark tension of ""The Electric Mile"" (2001) and the ass bumping smorg
asbord of ""The Hustle"" (2004)\, ""Lemonade's"" overall kickback beat begs
the listener to blow out the speakers in musical reaffirmation. ""Free"" p
erhaps its deepest and most powerful track pulls the continuity string thro
ugh it all\, for its positive examination of the cycle of rebirth through a
persons life backed with a ""Fixin' to Die"" blues beat perfectly captures
the sweat your funk out\, soul searchin\, dust ridden road warriors G. Lov
e and Special Sauce have come to embody.

DESCRIPTION:Meet one of 2008's most exciting new talents. Even before she's
released a note of music - and at barely 19 - ADELE has already chalkedup a
Jools Holland appearance\, worked with Jim Abiss\, Eg White and MarkRonson
\, signed to XL Recordings and supported Jack Penate\, Raul Midon\,Amos Lee
and Devendra Banhart. \n \nA fan of such diverse artists as Jill Scott\,
  Etta James\, Billy Bragg\,Peggy Lee\, Jeff Buckley and The Cure\, Adele's
soul-tinged songs oflove's lost and memories made are set to resonate with
all who hearthem. \n \nAnchoring it all together is ADELE's incredible vo
ice. As immediate asit is undeniable\, its power is matched only by her For
ce 10personality. ""I've always liked being the centre of attention\, yes\,
""she laughs. \n \nSecondary school proved instructive in as much as it g
ave ADELE anoutlet to ""meet all the R&B kids"" and ""sit around the playgr
oundsinging."" But it was a pretty rough place and pursuing music there was
something of a challenge\, on account of the fact that ADELE wanted tosing
and perform her songs but ""the teacher was a bit rubbish. Theygave me a re
ally hard time\, trying to bribe me\, saying that if I wantedto sing I had
to play clarinet to sing in the choir. So I left."" \n \nSo ADELE upped s
ticks\, signing up to The Brit School\, the Selhurstcollege whose alumni nu
mber Amy Winehouse\, members of The Feeling andKate Nash. However she had h
 er misgivings… \n \nBefore that comes ADELE's debut release on Jamie T'

hisback' has already floored the audience on the prestigious ‘Later WithJ

DESCRIPTION:Dropkick Murphys come out swinging with their 6th studio album
""The Meanest Of Times"" a collection of tales about family\, loyalty and r
emembering where you came from. ""The Meanest Of Times"" contains all the b
est elements of the DKM sound: a complex distillation of classic punk rock\
, Celtic folk and American rock'n'roll\, this album puts the band's diversi
ty\, intensity and sincerity on full display.\n\n\n\nFrom the Quincy Barber
shop where it all began to Fenway Park the year the Red Sox won the World S
eries to six sold out shows in a club they used to be barred from to the ti
tle song in a Martin Scorsese feature film the DKM goal has always remained
the same. Says Ken Casey: ""We always wanted to be that band that didn't f
orget where it came from and we keep it in the forefront of our minds that
we're all in it together\, audience and band members\, as one\, no one bett
er than the other. That's the M.O. of a lot of punk bands\, but I think som
etimes it gets lost the minute a band has any kind of success. We never wan
t to let it go to our heads. We know how lucky we are to be doing this. It'
s because of the people that listen to the band's music we have this opport
unity to see the world. I don't care if we're playing to 10 people or 10\,0
00 people\, those kids that are up front singing our songs are the reason w
 e're doing this.""

DESCRIPTION:The Reverend Al Green is known the world over for his extraordi
nary voice\, his unmistakable sound and his legendary hits. With Everything
's OK\, his new release for Blue Note Records\, Al Green comes to an exciti
ng new chapter in his artistry. Strong in voice and in spirit\, the Rock &
Roll Hall of Famer sings a dozen songs that reveal his renewed passion for
the kind of music that made him a household name some 30 years ago. \n \n
It was in the early 1970s that Green carved his place in music history with
a run of celebrated hits that made him not just an R&B star but a pop icon
. Since 1976\, however\, Green has concentrated on gospel music (recording
numerous albums\, but only two pop offerings)\, and since 1979 has led his
Baptist congregation\, the Full Gospel Tabernacle\, in Memphis\, Tenn. For
Everything's OK\, Green embraces both worlds by releasing a "secular" album
under the name the Reverend Al Green's symbolic gesture\, perhaps\, but a
significant one nonetheless. \n \nFor Everything's OK\, Green once again
teamed up with producer and arranger Willie Mitchell at Mitchell's Royal Re
cording Studios\, the same studio where the two recorded those early hits-
classics including "Tired of Being Alone\," "Let's Stay Together\," "I Can'
 t Get Next to You\," "I'm Still in Love With You\," "Call Me\," "Here I Am\
," "Let's Get Married" and "Love and Happiness." Green also reunited with M
itchell for his 2002 Blue Note debut\, I Can't Stop. (That recording was th
eir first collaboration since 1985\, when they recorded the gospel album He
Is The Light.) \n \nGreen started singing professionally at age 9\, when
he and his brothers formed a gospel quartet\, the Greene Brothers\, in the
ir hometown of Forest City\, Arkansas. (Green dropped the final "e" from hi
s surname when he went solo.) They toured the gospel circuits in the South\
, and then began performing around Michigan when the family relocated to Gr
and Rapids. At 16\, Green formed a pop group\, Al Greene and the Creations\
, with high school friends\, and they released a single\, "Back Up Train\,"
in 1967 (under the new name Al Greene and the Soul Mates) that went to #5
on the national R&B chart. \n \n"The music is the message\, the message i
s the music. So that's my little ministry that the Big Man upstairs gave to
me-a little ministry called love and happiness."

DESCRIPTION:Wisin & Yandel (also known as El Duo de la Historia or El Duo D
inamico!) are a Latin Grammy-nominated Puerto Rican reggaeton duo. They sta
rted their career together in 1995 and have been together since winning sev
eral awards during that time. \n \nWisin & Yandel were both born in Cayey
\, Puerto Rico where they met. Before beginning their musical career\, Yand
el worked as a barber while Wisin earned a degree in theater and acting. Ho
wever\, both shared the same musical interests \n \nIn 1998\, they worked
with DJ Dicky in his production No Fear 3. The next year\, they were signe
d to the Fresh Production label\, appearing in La Misión\, Vol. 1 (The Mis
sion\, Vol. 1). The albums reached gold status\, and the label produced the
duo's first album in 2000 titled Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio (The Kings of
the New Millennium). \n \nFrom then on\, they've released four albums to
gether\, while making appearances in the Mision compilations. All of the al
bums have reached gold status. They also won a Tu Musica Award for "Best Ra
 p & Reggaeton Duo". \n \nThat same year\, the duo established their own r
ecord label\, WY Records. In 2006\, they released a compilation album title
d Wisin y Yandel Presentan: Los Vaqueros featuring nearly all artists from
the WY Records label including Fily Elguate\, Jayko\, Gadiel (Yandel's brot
her)\, El Tio\, and Franco El Gorila. The album proved to be a huge success
\, so much that in 2007 a complete remix album entitled Los Vaqueros: Wild
Wild Mixes was released featuring several remixes to songs on Los Vaqueros
with many guest stars not formerlly associated with Wisin y Yandel. These a
rtists include Don Omar on 'La Pared' and 'Nadie Como Tu'\, Elephant Man on
'Pegao (Remix)'\, Yomo on 'Dame Un Kiss (Remix)'\, Ken-Y on 'Quizas (Remix
)' which is now one of their top hits in Spain and Luis Fonsi on 'Yo Te Qui
ero (Remix)'. El Tio\, who was featured on the first Los Vaqueros album\, d
oes not appear on this the mix album as he was no longer a member of WY Rec
 ords at this time.

DESCRIPTION:Following a succession of name and stylistic changes\, the Cult
emerged in 1984 as one of England's leading heavy metal revivalists. Picki
ng up the pseudo-mysticism and Native American obsessions of the Doors\, th
 e guitar-orchestrations of Led Zeppelin\, and the three-chord crunch of AC/
DC\, while adding touches of post-punk goth rock\, the Cult gained a dedica
ted following in their native Britain with mid-'80s singles like "She Sells
Sanctuary" before breaking into the American metal market in the late '80s
with "Love Removal Machine." \n\n\n\nFollowing the release of Ceremony\, t
he group took a break for the next three years. In 1993\, the band released
the U.K.-only hits compilation Pure Cult\, which debuted at number one. By
summer 1993\, the Cult had a new rhythm section\, featuring former Mission
bassist Craig Adams and drummer Scott Garrett. This lineup recorded The Cu
lt\, which was released in late 1994 to poor reviews and sales. In spring 1
995\, the Cult disbanded\, with Ian Astbury forming the Holy Barbarians lat
er in the year. Billy Duffy briefly played with Miles Hunt's Vent 414 befor
e leaving to pursue a solo project. In 2000\, the band's catalog was remast
ered and reissued\, and Pure Cult was released in the U.S. (despite a simil
ar compilation\, High Octane Cult\, having appeared four years earlier). It
was followed by Rare Cult\, a six-disc box set of rarities. A new Cult wit
h Matt Sorum and Martyn LeNoble joining Astbury and Duffy made their debut
in June 1999 at the Tibetan Freedom Festival. This band produced the 2001 a
lbum Beyond Good and Evil before the Cult was retired again as Astbury join
ed former Doors members Robbie Krieger and Ray Manzarek in the Doors of the
21st Century\, later renamed Riders on the Storm. In 2007 it was announced
Astbury had left the band to rejoin Duffy in a new five-member Cult. An al
bum titled Born Into This was scheduled to arrive in August of that year. ~

DESCRIPTION:Big riffs\, massive grooves\, and expansive improvisations are
the hallmarks of Gov't Mule's legendary live shows. Likewise\, their well-c
rafted songs feature larger-than-life characters bearing life's heaviest bu
rdens\, performed by four musicians - guitarist/vocalist Warren Haynes\, dr
ummer Matt Abts\, keyboard player Danny Louis\, and bassist Andy Hess - who
se powerful musicianship and chemistry along with their tireless work ethic
have earned them the respect of their peers. And there is plenty more exci
