DESCRIPTION:The Northwest Documentary Association is proud to announce its 
 third annual event: DocFarm 2008. This year DocFarm will take place from Au
 gust 22-24 at beautiful Smoke Farm in Arlington\, Washington. This one-of-a
 -kind three day event offers attendees a rare chance to foster community wh
 ile watching films and attending presentations by some of the region's lead
 ing documentary filmmakers. DocFarm also features catered meals\, river swi
 mming\, and inspirational late night campfires. This year program highlight
 s include an extra night! -- come up Friday for a meet n greet with light H
 ors D'oeuvres and a late night feature. In addition\, we are excited to wel
 come filmmakers from the Portland area who are attending DocFarm for the fi
 rst time.    Indoors and outdoors camping available.  Please let us know if
  you plan on bringing a 10-minute work in progress to share.  Cost: $140 (i

DESCRIPTION:Smoke Farm culminates another triumphant season as a haven for 
 exploration\, instigation and agitation with its 3rd annual summer festival
 . \n"Interstitial Heroes" is a day-long extravaganza of theater arts\, danc
 e performance\, live music\, literary high-jinks\, installed art\, and expe
 riences that defy easy classification. All this takes place at Smoke Farm\,
  a unique rural venue near Arlington Washington. Guests are invited to come
  just for the day or to camp overnight. Join us on Saturday August 16th\, s
 tarting at 2pm and continuing until late. Tickets include dinner\, prepared
  by chef Seth Caswell\, and a bedtime story too! \n\nFeatured artists and p
 resenters include (in no particular order): \n \nSage\, Circus Contraption\

  celebrated\, culinary firestorm. The Stranger Slog called it "the worlds f
 unnest and most delicious feast in a field cooked by Seattle's best chefs."
  Eleven star-studded cooking teams gather to prepare and master an assigned
  animal\, vegetable and/or sea creature\, whole or in parts\, using fire\, 
 earth\, steel and little else.  The jaw-dropping list of participating chef
 s includes\; Dylan Giordan (Serafina)\, Angie Roberts (Boka)\, Matt Dillon 
 (Sitka and Spruce & The Corson Building)\, Garret Abel (DeLaurenti's)\, Dus
