See you there! \n \nJacob Stick ney was born and raised in Seattle\, Washington\, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music at Cornish College of the Arts in Jazz Saxophone Perfo rmance (expected to graduate in the Spring of 2010). He began his formal mu sic training at age 14\, starting on the alto saxophone. Part way through h igh school\, he switched to the tenor saxophone. Since then\, he has had th e opportunity to perform with a host of in-demand musicians in the Seattle area\, including Evan Flory-Barnes\, Josh Rawlings\, D'Vonne Lewis\, Jeremy Jones\, Eric Vaughan\, and many others. In addition\, he has studied saxop hone privately with Gary Hammon\, Hans Teuber\, and Denney Goodhew. Upon en tering as a student at Cornish\, Jacob also began honing his composition sk ills\, studying privately with world-renowned trombonist and composer\, Jul ian Priester. \n \nHe has also led many collaborative projects with a numb er of musicians on the Seattle music scene\, namely the Stickney/Grasso Qui ntet (which performed at the 2007 Ballard Jazz Walk)\, Means of Communicati on\, Flow\, and the Welch/Stickney Ensemble.
