DESCRIPTION:Danny and Wheeler trash a company truck on an energy drink-fuel

  acclimate Daisy to life behind bars. Mink Stole\, Pleasant Gehman\, Susan 
 Traylor\, and Jane Wiedlin bare their teeth\, their nails\, and more with s
 uperb talent. Perfectly cast Karen Black delivers the signature Balderson c
 haracter as the neighbor-lady witness who becomes curiously fixated on the 
 tragedy and ironically begins her own slide down the slippery slope of sani

DESCRIPTION:Its 2003\, and the idyllic island town of Port Gamble\, Washing
 ton\, is under gruesome attack by an invasive pest: zombies! Gore abounds (
 really abounds) as a ragtag band of rebels tries to push back the hoards of
  brain-eating undead. They are led by two outcast residents: Frida (Janette
  Armand)\, an Iranian college student coping with the towns suspicions that
  she's a terrorist\; and Tom (Doug Fahl)\, a businessman reluctantly coming
  homeand coming outwith his boyfriend (Cooper Hopkins). Small-town prejudic
 es come to the fore\, but alliances must be forged if the onslaught of lurc
 hing zombies is to be vanquished. Heavily indebted to George Romero\, ZMD: 
 ZOMBIES OF MASS DESTRUCTION features old-school special effects and a Moog-
 heavy score reminiscent of its 1970s inspirations. Bloody zombie mayhem abo
 unds (a truly shocking sight gag early on indicates the filmmakers are game
  for just about anything)\, but ZMD is also weirdly good-natured and often 
 quite clever in its send-up of movie clichs and post-9/11 paranoia and prej
 udices\, tackling them through twisted humor. In fact\, no subculture escap
 es unscathed.
