The Intiman Theatre makes you part of the performance
Intiman means "intimate" in Swedish and indeed the Seattle Center theater is just so; with 446 seats and the last row only 50 feet from the stage, you feel like you are part of the performance and not simply a passive observer. Originally the focus of the Intiman Theatre was on international dramatic literature and the resident ensemble cast does a fantastic job of interpreting and conveying the message of authors from around the world. The sound in the theater is also fantastic and adds quite a bit to the dramatic experience. I can't wait to see what plays the Intiman will be showing in the future.
