The High Dive is Not a Dive
The High Dive is way too clean and the food is way too good to be a dive, but it gets reviewed as a dive quite often. Maybe Fremonters need to leave their condos, get out of fratty Fremont and hit up Capitol Hill- now there are some dive bars. I like dive bars (I'm from Texas, so it's in my blood just like Bud Light) but I also like the High Dive. It is a little weird and narrow, with minimal seating, but the rock club's atmosphere is chill and not too crazy USUALLY. The cover is on the low side, the music on the eclectic side, and the food is straight Americana: hush puppies, jalapeno poppers, and a one-pound basket of fries. Jump in!
