Can I have a Mars Bar at Cafe Venus?
Deep fried? Eastlake is a weird place, maybe it's the fact that in the neighborhood all of the clubs are sort of lined up in a thin string instead of clustered together- but somehow Katy Aversenti has pulled her brainchild, Cafe Venus and the Mars Bar, out of the rest. With hard work, talent, and a very very lucky poker hand, Aversenti converted her city apartment into the Cafe Venus; its next door neighbor became the Mars Bar a few years later. The twin sister cafe and bar now function as THE neighborhood hangout; have a plate here before heading to a show at the nearby El Corazon (you can even walk if you are feeling frisky).
