The Blue Moon Shines like a Sapphire in a Ditch
Now I know this title is confusing, because most reviews of the Blue Moon Tavern don't use descriptors of glistening gems but words like 'scary, bumhaven, rat-infested, crack, total dump, and I hate my life'. Some remarks even suggest that along with ID the Blue Moon require medical insurance for entry, or that the drinkers might be better served if . So how could such a crap hole be so popular? Why is this dive so infamous, so loved, such the object of tender affection from normally staid Seattleites? Because it is real. The Blue Moon is not for pretenders or phonies, it does not make any excuses for it's dirty bathroom, horrid service or junkie beer. It is real, and it shimmers like a black eye on a crack head.
