The Cinerama is Old School Seattle
The Cinerama in Belltown is the coolest movie theater in Seattle, hands down. Yeah, there are flashier cinemas with bigger screens, better sound, and more concessions, but cooler? Nope. The Cinerama first opened in 1963 which is the vibe you get when you walk in the lobby with the plush red chairs, Italian mosaics, and green and purple wallpaper. Reopened in 1999 after a major restoration (thank you Paul Allen), the Cinerama gives us a place to see the newest special effects and computer imagery in a theater that one sold tickets to "The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm," a juxtaposition as sweet as Jujeefruits. One ticket, please.
