Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium: A Pacific Northwest Original

The only combined zoo and aquarium in the Pacific Northwest, this zoo provides up close animal encounters, from wolves to tigers to sharks. The views of Mount Rainier and the Olympic Mountains are inspiring, though my favorite animals just might be on the restored 1917 carousel. The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium just celebrated it's 100 year anniversary in 2005; bring your favorite child to the zoo, and enjoy the view!
