The Casbah was opened in 1989, and it's first location with a capacity of 75 hosted such bands as Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and the Lemonheads. The venue moved down the road in 1994 into larger, plusher digs that can now accommodate over 200 partyers and provide them with an enclosed smoking patio, pool tables, pinball, the classic video game Galaga, and of course, a full bar. The Casbah features live music at least 6 and usually 7 nights a week and is open until 2AM.
