JewelBox Theater (Rendezvous Restaurant & Bar)

Intimate, and adorb

This bar manages to stay decent in Belltown. They rent out the Jewelbox theater at decent rates so some good shows come through there. The space is tiny and can get crowded and stuffy pretty fast so burlesque performances fare better than sweaty thrash-metal bands. They have two other rooms to rent out for parties and such; an upstairs room, which has a balcony view of the bar area and a basement room they optimistically call 'The Grotto'. The grotto is actually pretty cute and continues in the red velveted vein of the jewelbox.
The kitchen isn't bad, they have a nice range of sandwiches and burgers for around 8 bucks and drinks are about 4.

Rendezvous at the Rendezvous!

I finally got to say that this past Friday night as I was meeting some girlfriends at the Rendezvous in Belltown. A punk band was playing; not my favorite genre but I do love the passion the punkers emit along with the snarls, sweat, and spit. Like most Belltown venues, there is more to the Rendezvous than meets the eye; the place is big and the drinks are stiff. You can rent out the underground "grotto" (basement) for parties and have your own bar, and though I left quickly Friday night (due to the music, not the venue), I will be back to chill, to drink, to dance, and to rendezvous at the Rendezvous.

Jewelbox Theater hosts every genre

The Jewelbox Theater in the Rendezvous hosts a variety of acts. On any given night you could stumble into a huge variety of sorts. One night could be a cirque themed burlesque, while you could as easily come across a slammin hip-hop or metal show in full swing.
