I dig it....mostly.
Although the Wonder Ballroom is a beautifully restored old building it is a fairly new venue (only 3 years old). I liked the size of the room, the lovely wood floors, and the art on the walls was pretty cool too. It has a fairly laid back atmosphere which I liked as well. If you want to drink though you have to go up in this balcony pretty far from the stage. Also, I wasn't terribly impressed with the staff, most of them seemed pretty incompetent, or stoned, or both. Not that there's anything wrong with that! But really...overall I liked it.
On a slightly unimportant note it was a pretty young crowd when I was there, and I didn't appreciate the group of fourteen year olds texting and taking pictures of themselves throughout the show, or the girl who thought it was fun rubbing up against me and elbowing me no matter how hard I tried to get away from her. All that aside I think it's a cool venue and I'd definitely go back if the opportunity presented itself.
