The O'Kane Gallery, part of the Department of Arts & Humanities, serves the students, faculty, and staff of the University of Houston-Downtown and the general public by presenting exhibits which are educational, enlightening, refreshing, inspirational, and provocative.

Every academic year, the gallery exhibit calendar includes works by emerging, professional, and historic artists. In late spring, UHD art students exhibit their works, which have been selected by the art faculty. The gallery is involved in the Houston community as well
