Parking Details: Parking for the Bluebird Theater is located across the street in the Paradise Cleaners parking lot. If this lot is full, street parking is available on Colfax Avenue, 16th street and 14th street. Adams and Cook streets are residential parking with permit.

The Bluebird Theater was built in 1913 and originally named after the prominent Denver grocer and druggest, John Thompson. The Theater was renamed in 1922 and became an important part of the community. The theater was initially a movie house and went through various phases over the years. In 1994, Chris Swank and a business partner invested in the Bluebird and it re-opened as the mecca for rock music that you know today.

The theater is laid out in three tiers with a bar at the top and a balcony overlooking the entire theater. Seating and tables are arranged according to the type of entertainment being offereed. These go fast for the more popular shows but if you're desperate for a seat, there's always the balcony!

A diverse range of entertainers have performed at the Bluebird from the mellow jazz violinist Jean Luc-Ponty to such acts as Oasis, Creed, Beth Orton, Cowboy Junkies, and The Vines.
