A brightly-painted mural of an adobe street scene dominates one wall of this colorful Ballard spot, where families sit at funky antique tables savoring the signature 14-hour smoked brisket, pork and chicken. Hot and cold sides include coleslaw, sweet potato cornbread, macaroni and cheese, collard greens and dirty rice; tabletop sauces include Original, Hot, Carolina Sour and Spicy-Sweet Thai. Dessert features homemade pies, like the popular sweet potato, served warm.
