OOO! OOO! OOO! AHH! AHH! AHH!
A strange thing happens when you find yourself on the edge of Woodland Park, hemmed in on one side by ugly Aurora and on the other by the maniac joggers of Green Lake Park. If you stand still and shut up, you can hear bird cries, monkey calls, and lions yawning their morning roar far before you reach the natural environments inside of the Woodland Park Zoo. Your animal adventure starts in the free rose garden right outside the entrance which blasts into a parade of color every Seattle spring; continue inside to engage in all manner of creature fun, from python and piranha feedings to rapture trainings and conservation programs. One of the oldest zoos on the West Coast, the Woodland Park Zoo is an urban oasis for animals of all species. Bring your little beasties and get in touch with your own animal side.
