What do beer and zoo animals have in common? Nothing, really, but if you attend Brew a the Zoo, your entrance fee goes to help maintain programs at the Woodland Park Zoo. It’s a fundraiser. It’s good beer from microbreweries. It’s a win-win.
On Friday, October 14th, the Woodland Park Zoo will host their first after-hours beer-tasting event featuring local microbreweries, import beers and ciders. The event runs from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Rain Forest Food Pavilion and Zoomazium. The cost is $20 if you buy tickets in advance, or you can buy them at the door for $25.
What you get with your ticket:
10 tastings
Admission to Jaguar Cove
Admission to the Humboldt penguin exhibit
Music
A $3 discount if you visit the zoo after the event and before the end of the year
What will be available:
Extra tastings are $1 each
Food for purchase
What you should know:
You may not bring food since it will be available to purchase
The weather doesn’t matter since much of the event will be indoors
Parking will be $5.25 in zoo lots
Beer will not be available for purchase to take home. It’s a tasting-only event.
Only 21+ will be admitted.
