Where's Batman?
Yeah, Great Batman film, but not enough Batman. Yeah, Heath Ledger was the best part. Yeah, it could have been a lot shorter.
and YEAH, Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon) is HOTTT!

Smells like sweet, sweet music (and coffee too)
When I was first dragged to Lestats, I was fourteen. Six years later, I have yet to look back. Located on historical Adams Avenue in historical Normal Heights, Lestat's is one of the best coffee shops/venues you'll find in town. It's "we hate the starbucks across the street" attitude and side stage are what makes them the most popular hang out on the block. Not to mention the abnormally talented performers whom grace the stage night after night. I will never forget the night I went to see local legend Gregory Page (the stage is named in his honor) and his opener, Eric Hutchinson. Who knew that some four or five years later that baby faced, guitar swingin' kid from back east would become one of VH1's Artists on the Rise? San Diego has birthed some of the world's most talented people and just about all of them have graced the stage of Lestat's West. Oh, and their coffee's not so bad either.

1965 called, they want their singer back.
This pending date will be the second time I see the legend in the flesh. My expectations aren't that high, after all, I know what to expect. When I first saw him in 2006, I thought to myself, "What an awful waste of time." It was okay though, I didn't pay for the tickets. I left the venue, um-impressed (hey the seats were great! Great for staring at his back the whole time) and wondered what it wass like to see him play in his prime, circa '65, '66. My God, that nasaly tone is the greatest thing that ever happened to the United States. Now, at 66, the man sounds like he had "One too many Mornings," (and cigarettes.) Too make a long story short, he sucks live. So, why the second time around, did I pay for tickets, not just for myself, but for three others, am I going to partake in the same thing I witnessed two years ago? Because it's Bob freakin' Dylan. Need I say more?
