A Whole New Bat

A conceivable title for the new movie could have been Batman: Resurrection due to the force and passion that director Christopher Nolan has infused into the latest franchise installment. The late Heath Ledger had some pretty large clown shoes to fill with Jack Nicholson's last Joker performance but Ledger portrayed the darkest, most sinister side of the Joker ever captured on film. Ledger's performance alone is worth the price of admission.

The Laguna Art Museum has captured a snapshot of the modern street art scene with the new show In The Land of Retinal Delights. A show of this magnitude would usually be found in some hip gallery in LA, but O.C. residents certainly have the pleasure of taking a leisurely cruise down to Laguna Beach and spend a few hours with some limit-pushing art that can only be brought together by Juxtapoz Magazine. Be prepared to witness works by artists who have boldly overstepped the boundaries of traditional 'art' and now find themselves in a revolutionary, outsider generation of modern artistry.
