Corner to the Block?

If they're on tour promoting "From the Corner to the Block?", I'd love to catch them with a cadre of MCs.

This should be interesting. She'll be performing a lot of in-progress material and her old standards...

You could buy his tickets, or you could buy tickets from the artists he steals his jokes from. Mencia has a well known history for taking other people's material.

If You Like Good, You'll Like This...

Communist anti-capitalism hip-hop at it's finest.

This show is the most fun you can have at a Hip-Hop show. They've been using a live band since '93. Hopefully it is a full band instead of a three piece, but the drummer they've used for the last few years is this FILTHY. He's gotta be about 21 now, but he's been playing with them and Destiny's Child since he was 17.

The flyers for the event promoted that Pam the Funkstress was in the show, which will be a treat. Haven't seen her since Pick a Bigger Weapon came out.

Holy Smokes, It's Really Good...

This movie about making a baby felt like if Wes Anderson and Judd Apatow got together and made a baby. Ellen Page did a REALLY good job at her messed up role. This movie almost fell under my radar; so if you haven't heard about it, go watch the trailer: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searchlight/juno/trailer/

A Gangster Movie & A BioPic

Good, but not great movie. What is it about both gangster movies and bio movies that always feel the same? They tend to be good movies, but never get over the hump for me. I like movies like Ray, Walk the Line, and the Aviator, but they never make me love them. Same with gangster movies. Same with American Gangster. 3.25/5
