I'd go for the giant robot. Wait, you said effect on the "world." I thought you said, "my world."

I'll have to be honest: had never heard of them. But if they can get booked at the Paramount for those ticket prices, they must have some fans here!

Some day we'll have a light rail system. But at the rate they've been building I'll be dead before I can get from Northgate to the airport.

Julie Andrews as a woman playing a man playing a woman
Haven't seen this movie in years, but it's a wonderful comedy with great acting by Julie Andrews, James Garner and Robert Preston. Directed by Blake Edwards. The description above doesn't tell the full story. Andrews actually plays a woman playing a man playing a woman. Hilarity ensues. Highly recommended.

His Newsweek columns on the Middle East are some of the most lucid and relevant around. But he writes about so many other topics just as well. His thoughts about why we always seem to get nation-building backwards are spot on. (We always think voting is most important, then legal and financial reforms, but it's the other way around.) Not a surprise that he is former editor of Foreign Affairs.

Can I just say that I consider the Posies to be the greatest band ever....to come out of Bellingham?

The hardest working Punjabi musician in show biz. He's a legendary performer. I can't imagine not having a great time at this show.
