Philadelphia’s Dorian’s Parlor Continues Monthly Steampunk Nights

Last month I wrote about a brand new steampunk event in Philadelphia at Dorian’s Parlor. If you missed the June event, you’re in luck, because another one is being held towards the end of July. The 2nd steampunk night is happening July 24, 2010, at Dorian’s Parlor inside the Double Tree Hotel in center city.

Guests for the July event include G.D. Falksen, Luke Reynolds, Eowyn Driscoll, Lawrence Gullo, Fyodor A. Pavlov, The Clockwor Dolls and more to be announced. Dance lessons will be offered from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Claire Sanders Design’s and others will be showing off their creative talents in a fashion show. There are some vending spots left for this month, so hurry and grab them up while they’re still there (e-mail Vending@doriansparlor.com for more information).

Hors D’oeuvres will be served, and a drink ticket is included with admission. There will also be door prizes for best dressed. And speaking of attire, you are encouraged to dress accordingly in your finest neo-Victorian, steampunk, Dandy, or black-tie outfits.

Event Details:

  • Dorian’s Parlor (Doubletree of Center City)
  • 237 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA
  • Easily accessible from the Broad Street Line and Septa Bus 27 and 32
  • Ages 21+
  • $20 entry
