LYNAM Comes to The Blockley Pourhouse

As one of the hardest working bands in the biz, Birmingham, Alabama’s LYNAM will be playing at The Blockley Pourhouse this Saturday, July 10th at 8:00 p.m. LYNAM is a power rock trio whose music is emblazoned with all the best of the Sunset Strip hard rock scene circa 1989. Stopping through Philadelphia for a special headline show before joining their good friends, Cinderella, for some dates in other parts of the northeast, Saturday night provides the perfect opportunity to catch a seasoned act at one of the city’s up-and-coming music venues.

It was just a couple months ago that over 2,000 fans were treated to the band’s 50 minute opening set for Cinderella during an exuberant show at the Electric Factory. Lead singer Jacob Lynam says the band respects Philly rock fans and the response they received that night so much, that they just had to make a return appearance. Supporting their recent Mascot/Megaforce Records release, Tragic City Symphony, an album which features three terrific singles including “Lyndsay Says”, “Pornstar” and “Save My Soul”, the band (who actually tours about 360 days of the year!) could not be more excited about coming back to Philadelphia. Tragic City Symphony features guest appearances by Hinder and Tom Keifer of Cinderella, and several of its tracks were featured on MTV’s #1 rated reality shows, “A Double Shot of Love” and “A Shot of Love Three.” The music rides the thin roller coaster line between harmony and cacophony that characterizes so much of the best “Appetite For Destruction/Nevermind”, Marshall-Stacks-driven sound.

As the former Chestnut Cabaret, The Blockley features exposed brick walls, stained oak floors, a centrally located bar and stage, and state of the art sound and lighting systems. It will be an ideal place to see LYNAM play. Supporting them on the bill are Philly workhorses, Ecotone and East of Anything.  Tickets are $12 when purchased in advance at http://theblockley710.eventbrite.com/, and $15 at the door.
