Get Outside and Play Disc Golf, a Fun Sport for Serious Athletes and Families Alike

San Diego has two disc golf locations, one at Morley Field and one in Oceanside. The object of disc golf is to get the disc, a type of Frisbee, into a basket. The courses challenge the rookies and the experienced players with natural obstructions, like trees, as well as changing basket locations.

The sport can be played alone or with a group of friends or family members. For the serious players, there are Disc Golf Association, DGA, sanctioned tournaments.

Disc Golf is an economical sport. At the Morley Filed course, greens fees range from $3.00-$4.00 and disc rental is $1.50.

Avoid the crowds at the malls and enjoy the fresh air playing disc golf! A round will cost you about $$5.00 and an hour and a half of your time.

In Philadelphia, we call it Frolf. Quite fun! Just not when its 30 degrees outside like today.

I agree…probably more enjoyable without gloves!
