Summer is no longer with us. The first day of fall 2010 arrived on Wednesday, September 22. Some parts of the country continue to feel the hot weather; while other parts now prompt people to grab a sweater before they go. On the West Coast, southern California is experiencing a record breaking heat wave. On the East Coast, one of the top things to talk about is the cooler weather; although perhaps it should be that the balance of power in our country is at stake in the Nov. 2 midterm elections, or that American obesity really is a problem we can help. Anyways…
No matter what the weather outside your window right now or what your talking about, you can have free Cold Stone Creamery ice cream today–Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010. Woot! With all the things we go through, everyone deserves something sweet every now and then. Go treat yourself. And, even better, bring whatever money donation you can to support a great cause.
First, I’m going to tell you about the great cause, and then I’ll tell you how to get your free ice cream at one of the 700 plus Cold Stone locations in the U.S.
Cold Stone Creamery’s ‘World’s Largest Ice Cream Social’ Benefits Children and Needs You
Yes. You’re invited to the world’s largest ice cream social.
Cold Stone Creamery is a supporter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This year, a girl named Kate Rawley, part of the Foundation, is the Junior Tastemaster. This means that you get to try the flavor she created for free. The serving is a 3 oz portion of “Kate’s Creation:” Caramel Apple Pie Ice Cream mixed with Chocolate Shavings, Graham Cracker Pie Crust and Apple Pie Filling. Sounds like a mixture perfect for the season to me.
How to Get Your Free Ice Cream
It’s not that hard. All you need to do is go to a Cold Stone Creamery location from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thurs. Sept. 30, 2010. The offer is good for one per customer while supplies last. Ice cream will be presented for free as listed above. Any requested changes will require an extra charge.
Donations are being accepted for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This is the 9th annual “World’s Largest Ice Cream Social.” According to the National Ledger, the event has raised more than $3 million. Let’s come together and continue to help this great cause.
