Fashion for Paws 2010: DC’s See-and-Be-Seen (Then Scoop) Fundraiser

Fashion for Paws 2010: DC’s See-and-Be-Seen (Then Scoop) Fundraiser

Call it Washington’s premier high style event for the spay and neuter set. On Sat., April 10th, sixty high-profile animal lovers — from TV news personalities to actors to business magnates — will strut their stuff on the runway for the 4th Annual Fashion for Paws Runway Show. But they’ll run the risk of being upstaged by their unlikely cohorts for the evening –dogs.

Sound unusual? That’s because this one of a kind gala is the year’s biggest fundraising opportunity for the Washington Human Society. To be held at the Embassy of Italy from 8 to 12 pm, this year’s soiree is hosted by none another than the Ambassador of Italy himself and will be emceed by Pamela Sorenson, the editrix-in-chief behind DC gadfly blog, Pamela’s Punch.

While a definitive of roster of this year’s “models” has yet to be disclosed, their men’s and women’s wear is being by provided Tysons Galleria‘s exclusive cadre of retailers, including Betsey Johnson, Cartier, Saks Fifth Avenue and more than a dozen others.

Tickets for this year’s Fashion for Paws Runway Show start at $85 for general admission, with VIP passes available for $150 and VIP tables for $2500. For more information, tickets and sponsorship opportunities, visit www.fashionforpaws.org or www.washhumane.org.
