\nThe **RAWSTOCK Film Fest** was launched in 2004 as a show
 case for raw\, irreverent local filmmakers. Conceived by Seattle natives Wi
 lliam Russell and Justin Freet as a reaction to the dearth of attention giv
 en local indie fimmakers and their films\, **RAWSTOCK** also acted as a car
 rot for these fimmakers to complete their projects in the first place. Both
  Mr. Russell and Mr. Freet have a strong aversion to navel gazing and heavy
 -handed drama\, preferring instead to focus on irreverent animation politic
 ally incorrect comedy and grindhouse style exploitation. Now in it’s fift
 h year **RAWSTOCK** has grown to encompass movies\, music and comedy from c
 oast to coast.
