Special Screening of Babette's Feast

As part of its holiday menu, the Coolidge Corner Theatre presents a special screening of the delectable Danish film Babette's Feast, winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film. Flawlessly directed and gorgeously filmed, this 1987 treasure tells the tale of two aging Danish sisters living in a small religious community and the French woman who becomes their housekeeper and cook. The spectacular feast that crowns the film is truly memorable. Introducing the film is Guy Crosby, a professor of food science and nutrition who works with Cook's Ilustrated magazine and the PBS series, America's Test Kitchen.
