Dia de los Muertos

pug dressed for holidays

Trinity Cathedral, 100 W. Roosevelt in Downtown Phoenix, will present a Dia de los Muertos Celebration on All Saints Day, November 1, at 6:00PM. The event is a traditional Mexican holiday in which family, friends, and community members gather to honor and celebrate the lives of the faithful departed. Our celebration will include a neighborhood procession of adults and children carrying lanterns, signifying the lives of those who have gone before. In preparation for this special event, a lantern-making workshop for children will occur on Saturday, October 31st at the Cathedral from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. All people are invited and welcome to attend and participate in this celebration. The lantern making workshop and the Dia de los Muertos procession is free and open to the public. In addition to the Dia de los Muertos event, the Cathedral will host an All Soul’s service on Monday, November 2nd at 5:30 PM. The public is welcome to attend.
