Go Texan Chef Showdown at the Hyatt, with Driskill Grill, Trio, and SWB chefs
Hyatt Regency Austin hosts the first annual Go Texan Chef Showdown, featuring Featuring Chefs Kevin Dee of SWB, Todd Duplechan of Trio, and Stephen Bonin of The Driskill Grill. The Chef Showdown is a "Top Chef"-style competition.
Using locally grown ingredients, each chef will prepare an appetizer and a main course for guests to enjoy in a six-course tasting menu with local wine pairings. A dessert and coffee buffet is included in the meal. Judges are representatives from the Austin American-Statesman, the Austin Chronicle, Edible Austin, Austin Monthly, Texas Monthly, Texas Hill Country Wine & Food Foundation, Yelp Elite, Tribeza, and the Texas Department of Agriculture. The cost is $80 plus tax and gratuity. Seating is limited to 100 guests. Reservations at http://opentable.com or by calling 512-480-2035.
