Slick Filling of Aches and Cavities-- A Fundraiser!

GoGoVertigoat Dance and/or Performance and the Lo Fi Performance Gallery present an night of experimental performance on July 12, 2009 featuring a new work, The Slick Filling of Aches and Cavities. The Slick Filling of Aches and Cavities is about sex and food. This performance operates from the premise that consumption is intimate, that it carries within it the capacity to describe who we are and how we love. It is a manifestation of our faith that eating at McDonalds and slipping one's hand up a skirt are comparable expressions of self. This evening will fundraise to send local performers to Brooklyn to perform this piece in the BoCoCa Arts Festival. Through this project, Lindsey Drury of New York based GoGoVertigoat Dance and/or Performance further seeks to create new and sustainable creative links between the New York and Seattle experimental performance scenes and to foster opportunities for local performers to engage as artists in New York. The Slick Filling of Aches and Cavities will be performed in Seattle as a preview for its premier in New York on July 17th in the BoCoCa Arts Festival of Brooklyn. This preview will involve short performances from Stimulate Dance and Rosa Vissers.
