Tai Shan at The Hang

November 20th, 2008 at Lo-Fi – This performance celebrates the fusion of two Seattle genres. For one night only the “Joyful Jazz” of The Teaching meets the soprano voice and highly orchestrated guitar parts of “Indie Folk” singer-songwriter Tai Shan. Tai Shan will open the show with Evan Flory Barnes and Jeremy Jones from The Teaching until the music morphs into The Hang with the addition of Josh Rawlings. The night will feature music inspired by African, Brazilian and American musicians and joy-infused life experiences.

Together the evening’s music will range from light and upbeat to solid and mature, providing the audience with a real sense of the new emerging voices from the next generation of Seattle musicians.
