FRANCES FARMER'S REVENGE

Friday, November 7th has been official declared; FRANCES FARMER DAY in Seattle. Dubbed West Seattle's Bad Girl, Farmer was an iconic movie-star back in the 30's made infamous by Jessica Lange's portrayal in the film Frances, and Kurt Cobain's song, Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge.

West Seattle's Historic Admiral will hold a two-day film retrospective to honor the actress.

Come dressed to impress (30’s style) for the elegant first night, featuring a cocktail reception and the *72nd Anniversary showing of the award winning classic "Come and Get It" . The evening also includes a presentation of "The Bad Girl of West Seattle" by local historian Peder Nelson.

Saturday, showcases the family- friendly matinee - "Rhythm on the Range" co-starring Bing Crosby.

Later that evening we will feature Jessica Lange’s academy award nominated performance in the critically acclaimed movie, “Frances”. An after-party will be held at the junction's restaurant, Shadowland -(named after William Arnold's book about the actress).
