Playing French Seattle 2008: Complexe de Thénardier

Steeplechase Productions, together with Playing French Seattle (a registered student organization of the University of Washington) announces the 2008 festival of plays performed in French (with English super-titles). The festival will be held from October 20 to November 2 at the Ethnic Cultural Theatre in North Seattle. This year the focus is on plays by Benin born playwright José Pliya, who will attend the closing weekend.

“Complexe de Thénardier” directed by Joseph Lavy: Master and slave in an occupied country. Pliya won the Prix du Jeune Théâtre de l’Académie française for this play in 2003. US premiére.

Price: $15; $7.50 student/senior; $25 festival pass
