Taikoza

Taikoza is a New York based Japanese drum and dance group that uses the powerful rhythms of the Taiko drums to create an electrifying energy of excitement. Drawing from Japan's rich tradition of music and performance, Taikoza has created a new sound using a variety of instruments. In addition to drums of assorted sizes, the group incorporates the use of bamboo flutes and the koto, a 13-string instrument, to take audiences on a journey through Japan's many regions using traditional folk songs and dance.
