J&J Music Presents: The Hadley Caliman Trio at Cellar 46 for the final show of the Saturday Music Series in November. Seattle saxophonist Hadley Caliman is a true legend of jazz music, and a jewel in the local scene. His is a part of the living history of jazz, having played with a veritable who’s-who of the music, including Freddie Hubbard, Dexter Gordon, Carlos Santana, Elvin Jones, Joe Pass, Phoebe Snow and many others. At 77 years old, he is the patriarch of the Seattle Jazz Scene, and just released a wonderful album on Origin Records called “Gratitude”. Plus, he recently moved to Mercer Island, so this is a hometown show!
