Here comes September and Balls Out #2! Despite the prevalence of references to a certain part of the male anatomy, Balls Out expects that this month's headliner, A1 Bassline, will powerfully remind everyone that it's really just about everything barely restrained and very loud be it music, people, the party or the night.

OOOooooooooh! Looks like some people were scared of all those bouncy balls. Nasty prepubescent dodge ball flashbacks, huh? We encourage you to take a deep breath and just getN2it! They don't hurt, we promise.

Our performers certainly aren't scared, not with the musical tricks and treats they have up their sleeves. This September features a headlining set by A1 Bassline (Big Dada, Partyshank – UK), with daring dance DJ sets by Levi Clark (Shameless – SEA), NAHA (NAHA Army – SEA), and Recess (Shameless – SEA), live art by Kinoko + Eli.Heuer, photos by DaveMatthewsPhotos.com, extra sound support by Shameless, and is hosted by Menami and MC Anton Bomb. We'll also be smashing a disco ball piñata at midnight filled with candy & nostalgic toy figures from the 80s.

Balls Out! is a new monthly event that joins the forces of Shameless, NAHA Army, Fourthcity and many of our supportive and gifted friends at dance-friendly venue and favorite, the Re-Bar.

BIO & MUSIC SAMPLES

A1 BASSLINE (Big Dada, Partyshank, So Sweet, UK) A1 Bassline (aka Christian Shank) got his start as one half of PartyShank (a British duo who describe themselves on their MySpace as "Grime/Powerpop/Jungle" and are the creators of the genre known as "ToyStep"). The band was named the number one band of 2008 by a survey from MySpace predicting the next big bands of 2008. Just recently they released a new single entitled "Virgin" with a music video that's getting play on MTV. At the same time, under guise of Christian Shank, A1 Bassline's original bass heavy tracks and remixes have been destroying dancefloors all over the world. Guns And Bombs describes his music as..."a bass weaponsmith helping in the war against contrived midrange teenage angst". Joseph 'JP' Patterson from Super Magazine wrote "A1 Bassline is definitely doing a lot in terms of Bassline for London, with more of an Old School Garage edge to the productions it's one for the ladies as well..." We're excited to introduce A1 Bassline to Seattle for his debut performance and hope that you'll join us at Balls Out Series 2 to welcome this promising young talent.
