 Vogel\, and guitarist Jeff Raines - reaffirms their standing as one of the 
 funkiest outfits in the known universe. Featuring a cherry-picked guest lis
 t of some of hip-hop's most dynamic lyricists - including Juvenile\, Gift o
 f Gab (Blackalicious)\, Lyrics Born\, Ladybug Mecca (Digable Planets)\, Mr.
  Lif\, Chali 2na (Jurrasic 5)\, Vursatyl (Lifesavas)\, and Boots Riley (The
  Coup)\, From the Corner to the Block exposes GALACTIC's organic grooves to
  an urban ear while still maintaining their essential funk aesthetic.

 Joining them will be the Bay Area's Crown City Rockers\, a five-member hip 
 hop band from Oakland\, California\, by way of Boston\, Massachusetts and P
 asadena. Formerly known as Mission:\, they play old school inflected hip ho
 p music with live instrumentation\, citing influences such as A Tribe Calle
 d Quest\, The Roots\, KRS-One and De La Soul. They are currently working on
  their upcoming album 5 Gold Stars.
