I entered Berbati's on that Tuesday night with no expectations. I had never heard Jamie Lidell before, but what I did hear, I did not expect. From the lungs, heart, and soul of a 150 lb. German crooner came a sound worthy of comparison to Otis Redding, Al Green, or Prince. Lidell and his praise-worthy band owned the eclectic crowd and made them forget about work the next day. Lidell's warm and comfortably familiar voice, combined with his "let's get this party sweaty," stage presence, makes this act an unforgettable musical experience.

Spokane?
Who moves TO Spokane? Freak artist-types, that's who. As a bona fide city girl and Seattlite, I am intrigued, I am perplexed, I am curious- and I am going to see him perform. Great art makes you think, it twists your brain and makes you pedal around in the sauerkraut. I am pedaling over this one, which means it is an experience I want to have.
