A Streetcar Named Desire
Acclaimed Seattle director and Intiman's newly appointed associate director Sheila Daniels makes her Intiman debut with 'A Streetcar Named Desire.' Tennessee Williams won the Pulitzer Prize and other major theatre honors for his New Orleans-set masterpiece about Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski and the epic, sexually charged battle between "tender feelings" and "brutal desire" that enflames them both.

A Streetcar Named Desire; A Playwright Named Genius
A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the best American plays of the 20th century; with emotion-soaked lines Tennessee Williams evokes the rich personality of the city of New Orleans and creates a deep connection with the characters despite, or maybe because of, their all-too-human flaws. Love, desire, betrayal, and anger are facets of the human condition and cannot be ignored despite our best efforts to repress them deep inside of us in the face of controversy and social-political gaming. The Intiman Theater actors will no doubt recreate this legend of the South with the same passion and fervosity with which Tennessee Williams picked up his pen. The man is a genius.

How is it possible that I've never seen Tennessee William's A Streetcar Named Desire. Not the film with Marlon Brando, or the play. So this would be a great chance to see it.
