Harvey’s Funny Tuesdays Showcases Local Comics

If it seems like I write about comedy a lot, that’s probably because … well, I do. But there’s a reason! The Bay Area is home to some of the funniest and vulgarest (that’s a real word!) comedians—guaranteed to make you laugh and squirm at the same time. (Not an actual guarantee, but you’ll never know until you attend one of these shows.)

One of the best San Francisco comedy shows you can attend is Harvey’s Funny Tuesdays at Harvey’s in the Castro. What makes it one of the best? Well, it’s free for one thing. If you’ve had to spend $25 plus the cost of a two-drink minimum, you know how nice that is. But more importantly, Harvey’s Funny Tuesdays showcases different local comics every week. There are regulars, like Candy Churilla and Yayne Abeba, the latter of whom will be performing there tonight. And the always funny Ronn Vigh is a mainstay—serving as host every week.

Harvey’s Funny Tuesday is at 9 p.m. every—you guessed it—Tuesday. Show up a bit early to get a seat, and don’t forget to tip your waitstaff! Side note: I recommend the margarita. Really tasty and likely to make all of the subsequent jokes that much more hilarious.
