Judith Owen and Harry Shearer’s Holiday Sing Along is coming to bring cheer to all our holidays. The event that started in their living room with friends has grown and now it’s in a space that those not invited to their home can enjoy.
At The Broad Stage in Santa Monica (see previous posts for other great acts) Actor/Comic Harry Shearer (The Simpsons and Christopher Guests flics) and his wife Judith Owen perform a show that has become a holiday favorite – it’s 10 years strong. Joining them are comic greats Christopher Guest (Waiting for Guffman is my fav of his movies, but also noteworthy is his part in Princess Bride), Jane Lynch (from Guest movies and Glee), Wierd “Al”, surprise guests and others.
The show is a holiday sing-a-long and with the cast of talent they are bringing is sure to be a hoot.
To top it off proceeds benefit Tipitina’s Foundation in New Orleans and KCRW. Santa Monica and comedy and holiday singing and helping others is a nice way to spend a Sunday.
