When you’ve had enough of the creepy actors roaming about the haunted houses, you may want to try looking for a real ghost! Chicago Ghost Investigations might just give you the thrill you’ve been looking for this spooky season.

This paranormal research group has opened itself up to you, the public, to teach you how to use authentic ghost hunting equipment to detect the presence of actual spirits. You’ll be working with lots of different pieces such as night vision cameras and thermal scanners. You’ll learn how to effectively locate spirits and how to communicate with them, as well.

CGI operates seven days a week, and the 2 to 2 1/2-hour tours begin at 8 p.m. During the busy Halloween season, a daytime tour is usually added, as well. The tour costs $45 Monday through Thursday and $55 on weekends. Special packages are available for corporate outings, private parties and even singles nights.

All reservations are final (that means NO refunds), so make sure you’ve got the gall to go ghost hunting!
