A new guide is out for people who love hiking but are looking for the easiest routes anywhere. Seabury Blair will be at the REI flagship store on July 16 at 7:00 pm to share “slides and tips from his latest book ‘The Creaky Knees Guide Washington: The 100 Best Easy Hikes’. The book’s 100-plus trails are divided into 10 regions, and each trail is profiled with elevation gain, driving directions, mileage and estimated hiking time, effort level, best season, permits required, GPS trail coordinates, and more.”

This is great for families with young children, seniors, people with mobility issues and really just for people who want an easy hike. Hiking doesn’t have to be strenuous all the time. As the book blurb says, “For those who like to walk-but not too much-this new day-hiking guide is filled with kinder, gentler trails throughout Washington State.” Perfect!

The seminar is free and no registration is requred. REI is located at 222 Yale Ave. N.
