Snoop Dogg

Biography

As the embodiment of '90s gangsta rap, Snoop Dogg blurs the lines between reality and fiction. Introduced to the world through Dr. Dre's 'The Chronic,' Snoop quickly became the most famous star in rap, partially because of his drawled, laconic rhyming and because the violence that his lyrics implied seemed real. His debut album, 1993s 'Doggystyle,' become the first debut album to enter the charts at number one.

No doubt Snoop will come up smelling like roses, er...Johnson's Baby Powder and Cool Water Cologne, I mean. The last time I saw the Doggfather was on the Smokin' Grooves tour about ten years ago, he rolled out a giant smoking bong, which he didn't even need as his crazy, stoned fans were throwing joints on stage like there was no tomorrow.

Alas, I have slept on this event at the Showbox SoDo and failed to get tickets! Single tear!

And just wondering since Warren G was just arrested in LA for possession of marijuana, will he make the show next week?
