The Animals at Night create down-tempo electronica that cascades and shimmers as much as it pulsates and throbs. Wavering synth and organ provide the foundations for their songs.

The Animals At Night live was off the Hook Y'all
I hit up the Nectar Lounge and saw The Animals At Night play last night. It slipped my mind that it was their CD release party. The Animals At Night is the project of Graig Markel and Joe Patterson. Their groovin' live performance included some very special guests. Here's how cool the show was. When you pay your $7 to get in, they give you a free CD! More bands need to follow this lead.
They had one song where they got the crowd hollering and clapping together. Graig was dropping mad sounds and dancing himself to a frenzy. All the while Joe built a wall of funky - rock rhythms to keep everyone in check. It was exciting both to watch and to listen to.

Totally dig Head Like A Kite
I've seen these guys a lot. I'm a huge fan and can't wait for the CD release party. On top of it all, this show is free! Can't beat that.
