Cat Power

Biography

Matador recording artist Cat Power, a.k.a. Chan Marshall, has won critical acclaim for her unsettling, emotional songwriting. The Georgia native released her debut, 'What Would the Community Think?,' in 1996 with 'Moon Pix' in 1998. Marshall continues to tour behind her most recent studio effort, 'Jukebox,' a mixed bag of big hits and obscure oldies that marks her second set of covers, alongside 2000's 'The Covers Record.' 'Jukebox' follows 2005's 'The Greatest,' which Marshall recorded in Memphis in 2005 with a group of veteran R&B session players.
