Dr. Lonnie Smith

In the early 1950s, Dr. Lonnie Smith was given his first Hammond B3 organ by the owner of a local music store. He began his professional career recording with George Benson. As a solo artist, he has recorded more than thirty albums under his own name and has also recorded with David "Fathead" Newman, Lee Morgan and Joe Lavano.
