Biography
Sound Tribe Sector 9 is a Santa Cruz-based electronic jam band whose five members render a beautiful fusion of electronica and live instruments, resulting in a heart-warming unification of club kids and neo-hippies. Ahhhh, big sigh. STS9's music has been described by Electronic Musician Magazine as "an eclectic stew of electro-acoustic pop, funk, drum 'n' bass, hip-hop, ambient, dub and more - integrates rhythm-section instruments with samplers, drum machines and soft synths." Can you wrap your head around that? Of course not. That's why, to understand Sound Tribe Sector 9 you must buy a ticket an wade into the thick of the crowd. You won't be sorry.
